Raja Ravi Verma Paper Print Of Lord Vishnu Lakshmi on Sheshnag

This paper print was created by Raja Ravi Varma depicts Vishnu lying atop Ananta, the seven-headed cobra, with Lakshmi standing close to his feet. Garuda and Hanuman are visible in the distance. Without regard to context, Padma (a lotus) and Shankha (a conch shell), which are held in his rear right and left hands, respectively, serve to identify Vishnu. Hanuman may only be tentatively identified by his curled tail. The wings serve to identify the Garuda. In contrast to the traditional simian and avian traits, Hanuman and Garuda's face features are more human. Vishnu is shown in this scenario immediately before he creates the universe.
