Old Brass Priest's Kamandal Water Pot

It is a brass pooja, a milk container used by the Indian community to transport milk to the temple for religious and prayer activities. This Kamandal pot was initially used to store water for priests. Handmade in a lovely spherical shape with a beautiful natural finish. It was sold as water pots or Ganga Jamna, Jal, or Jamuna - vessels used to transport water from the sacred Ganges. It's well-made, with a tight-fitting screw-on cap.
