Mughal period Indian Moghul harem water colour painting 47.5 X 35.5

1 In Stock

This Mughal artwork demonstrates that there were numerous estimations for the number of women in a harem. The truth, on the other hand, was far more mundane, with only 5% being for the kings' sexual pleasure. The majority of the women were female harem staff and female relatives of the emperor. Inside the harem, eunuchs were employed to protect it and maintain discipline.
