Kalighat Painting Of Krishna killing Vakasura

A Kalighat paintingĀ of Krishna in the act of splitting the long beak of Bakasura, the heron demon, is depicted in paint on paper with tin alloy details. Krishna is seen to have blue complexion, large eyes, and to be wearing a short "dhoti" with a cape draped over his shoulder. His forehead is inscribed with the Vaishnavite symbols, and he wears the traditional peacock feather tiara. The white-painted multi-string necklace, a pair of earrings, bangles, anklets, and amulets are among the various decorations on Krishna's body. The Kalighat paintings' main selling point might be its embellishments. Krishna's dark skin makes his white, wide eyes stand out in this painting. The painting is in excellent condition and size is 28"x20" and it comes without a frame.
