Bronze Dhokra Craft Beastly Drummer Musician

1 In Stock

Hand crafted beastly musicians made of brass and playing tribal instruments called drum thus recreating a real life village ceremonial scene which is still witnessed today in India. These brass castings are made from the 4 000 year old casting technique founded in Dhokra, India. Thus the term the ''craft of Dhokra'' which refers to a lost wax and clay model casting technique for making brass and bronze artefacts. This skilled technique was later taught and spread throughout Eastern India to such places as Bastar, Andhra and Orissa - from where this half human with animal head musician most likely originate from.
