Brass Traditional Worship Diya

Deepak, also known as diya, is Sanskrit word for oil lamps which are illuminated during celebrations as well as for daily prayer in homes. Oil lamps come in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from the conventional round or pear-shaped dish to those with elaborate patterns and statues. Even though oil lamps can be made of stone or clay, many are made of metals such as brass and bronze and cast using lost-wax techniques. These lamps are frequently adorned with intricate patterns, auspicious motifs, or gods and goddesses.
