Brass Camel Figurine From Dhokra Tribe

An endearing lost-wax cast dromedary (also known as an Arabian camel) figurine from the past. The Dhokra Damar tribes of West Bengal are honored by the name of the technique known as Dhokra metal casting. The dhokra technique involves the use of the lost-wax casting method, where the molten metal is poured into a wax mold, which is then melted away, leaving behind a detailed bronze statue. This brass statue of a dromedary, or one-humped Arabian camel, captures the beauty and elegance of the desert-dwelling creature and is a unique and collectible piece of art. This statue has gained a good vintage tarnished colour.
